We strive to minimize our environmental impact:
  • • We recycle all containers with the labels one through seven. This includes detergent bottles, plastic drinking cups, glass items (all colors), metal items etc. Please empty drink cups (including ice) in the utility sink.
  • • We recycle clean plastic bags. Please consider using reusable cloth laundry bags, as we sell a wide range of sizes and colors.
  • • Front load washers have a high speed extraction process that removes most of the water. Therefore, the drying time is shorter and this saves energy.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do Front Load Washers Required Less Detergent?
Typically front load washers use 1/3 -1/2 the amount of detergent in a front load washer. The high speed extraction ensures the detergent is efficiently used and then removed from your laundry.
Why Are Front Load Washers More Expensive?
These machines are designed to wash from 2 ½ to 5 times the amount of laundry compared to a typical top load washer. Front loaders are capable of washing large loads at one time - saving time. As noted above, front loaders use less detergent. These add up to additional savings with each visit to the laundry. Also, front load washers have a high speed extraction process that removes most of the water. Therefore, the drying time for clothes washed in front load washers is shorter and this saves additional money.
What Is a Dryer "Cool Down" Period?
Some laundry owners program dryers to shut off the heat during the last 2 minutes of each drying cycle. The laundry pays less in utilities and you get less for your money. We provide a full seven (7) full minutes of drying time for 25 cents (or four minutes for one of the four jumbo machines). Also, users can select from (3) different temperature settings to make sure laundry is dried in the shortest time possible.
Does My Laundry Need To Be Separated?
We can separate colored and white items. It is helpful if you check to make sure clothes are not inside one another. For example, some folks wear two shirts at a time, and these should be separated before you drop off. Also, please don’t ball up socks. It also helps if your socks are not inside out. We may not catch these things and some clothing may not be cleaned properly if items are not separated. Many customers like to use garment bags for items such as bras and underwear to prevent possible damage. In addition, some small items can actually get sent out of the washer and sometimes get stuck in the pipes.
Can Items Shrink?
Certain fabrics are prone to shrinkage and new clothes may also shrink. Some customers request air drying to preclude shrinkage. Place a note in the laundry and/or let us know when you drop off. We don’t charge extra for air drying. We can also use low heat drying cycles if requested.
What About Items That Are Brand New?
Please let us know if you bring in a new item and you want it washed separately. We will be happy to wash it separately at no extra charge. This will help prevent colors from running.
My Laundry Item Was Damaged In Your Care, How Can You Fix This?
If damage results due to our handling or our laundry machines we will reimburse you for the item.
What About Special Items Such as Comforters, Sweaters, etc.?
Please let us know if you have special needs. We will wash items separately if requested, use delicate cycles for washing and/or drying, use low heat or air drying. Please consider putting a note in your laundry bag with specific instructions and/or let us know when you drop off your items. It helps if you separate the items that need special attention. We also offer dry cleaning at competitive rates. It helps if you separate items that should be dry cleaned when you drop off.
